About Lawrence Country Club
Situated on the beautiful South Shore of Long Island, Lawrence Yacht and Country Club is home to 18 holes of some of the best golf in Nassau County, NY. The club, which opened in 1924, underwent a full redesign in the late 1960s that utilized additional acreage to lengthen the course to its present 6,500 yards. The students of the AFTER SCHOOL GOLF PROGRAM will utilize the facilities stand-alone golf teaching area with a grass driving range, a challenging professionally manicured putting green, a practice sand trap, and a pitching and chipping green.
About Lawrence CC After School Golf Program
Program Starts the Second Week of April 2024.
“You’ve got to start somewhere” as the expression goes and golf certainly is no exception. When learning any activity as a child (or adult), you have to start at the beginning and it can be intimidating to try new things. At the Lawrence CC After School Program, we understand this and through the experience of teaching over a thousand young golfers since 2003, we have devised a beginner program that introduces children to golf in a fun and friendly way. By grouping children of a similar level together, we can take it slow and keep the expectations low.
Each golfer enrolled in the Lawrence After School program will learn the fundamentals of all areas of golf. Each class will be comprised of a half hour working on improving the full swing, chipping and pitching, and of course putting, the most important of all. Lawrence will utilize its state-of-the-art golf teaching area which consists of a grass range, a chipping and pitching area with a sand bunker, and a professionally manicured putting green to teach the children
Long Island Golf Camps provides after-school golf coaching for children of different skill levels. Our coaching program is made to give students personalized teaching and practice in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
On the course, students can also practice their games and compete in fun challenges and competitions. After-school golf coaching can be tailored to each individual’s needs, allowing for more progress in a shorter time than traditional classes or private lessons.
Program Details:
| Six one-and-a-half-hour (1.5) classes |
| Classes are given either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday |
| Each Class will run from 4:30 – 06:00 PM |
| Choose a day of the week and that will be the golfer’s group class for 6-week program |
| The class will be run and operated by Lawrence CC staff members. |
| There will be a maximum of 18 children per class with a max of 6 golfers per instructor. |
| The cost of the Lawrence CC After School Program is $295.00 for LYCC members children |
